Community

A core principle of Enindico is to contribute to the community in which it operates. To this end, Enindico supports the wonderful work of:

The Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation
Chances for Children
Heide Museum of Modern Art
Melbourne Food and Wine

The Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation is based in Melbourne and seeks funding for, and oversees the development of, Kitchen Garden Programs in primary schools across Australia. The aim of the Kitchen Garden Program is pleasurable food education for young people. Matt is on the Finance, Human Resources and Remuneration Committee of the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation.

Chances for Children is based in Mildura and seeks to address economic and social disadvantage in the Mallee by working to remove financial obstacles which inhibit the achievements of young people in the area. Matt has been recognised as one of three current ‘Chances Champions’ by Chances for Children, acting as a Melbourne-based ambassador for the program. This recognition was based on Matt being the creator, and then primary sponsor, of the Chances Tertiary Mentoring Program at the ‘Big 4’ international accounting firm at which he was a Partner. This program has, since 2006, seen 35 Chances recipients benefit from a 12 month mentoring commitment from a Partner or staff member at the firm.

Heide Museum of Modern Art is in the northern Melbourne suburb of Bulleen. Heide is a unique space – a synthesis of indoor and outdoor environments, a place of modern and contemporary art and design, with a rich and colourful art heritage and social history. Located just 15 minutes from Melbourne’s CBD, Heide is one of Australia’s leading public art museums and offers a tranquil, surprising and always stimulating place to visit. Matt, Petrina and their children are Heide members and regular users of the galleries and grounds at Heide.

Melbourne Food and Wine is a non-profit organisation that stages the annual Melbourne Food and Wine Festival a fortnight-long program of events across Victoria that commenced in 1993. Matt has been contributing to the development and support of wine-related events at the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival since 2008.
